Over the years I’ve spent quite a lot of time on planes, trains and automobiles moving from one destination to the next. And while the scenery and itinerary may change, there are a few tried and true items that I NEVER travel without.

From gear and beauty products to organizational items and staple wardrobe pieces, you’ll find all my favorites neatly organized & linked in this post so that you can make sure you’re fully stocked up before your next trip!

LUGGAGE / ORGANIZATION ESSENTIALS

Brevitē Jumper Camera Backpack

I have been searching high and low for a colorful and cute camera gear bag that’s also functional for YEARS! And then thanks to a well-timed and actually helpful Instagram Ad {yes there are some of those} I discovered the Brevitē Jumper Photo Backpack! For any traveler who loves to take photos & hates dull colors, you need to check out this backpack. PLUS it’s a great price & it can fit my DJI Mavic Pro!

Away Luggage Set

I’m a recent Away luggage convert and I have to say…they live up to the hype. I got the special edition Serena Williams teal set in the carry-on, medium and large and LOVE IT.

I think the compression system inside makes my luggage feel more organized & the wheels are buttery smooth. And…you HAVE to get the carry-on with the battery pack.

PRO TIP: if you’re planning to use the carry-on on international flights, don’t get the bigger carry-on. It’s bigger than many of the dimensions most international carriers allow.

Stoney Clover Lane Pouches

I am OBSESSED with this colorful, customizable accessories brand! Their pouches, passport cases, luggage tags and backpacks make your lineup of travel accessories so much more fun! This is the company I used to make my Alle Abroad backpack! I especially adore this travel sunglasses case!

Packing Cubes

These are insanely helpful for keeping your suitcase organized. Everyone uses these in different ways but I like to use them for keeping my underwear, bras, socks, staple pieces in one tidy place. I put my PJs & workout gear in one and if I’m going to be swimming I use a cube to pack all my swimsuits. These guys are currently on sale RN! YAY!

TRAVEL TECH ESSENTIALS

Portable Charger

I can’t imagine going anywhere without my portable charger, let alone traveling without one. These have saved my butt more times than I can count. And if you plan to use your phone/camera/GoPro at all while you travel you should be carrying one. I like to splurge on ones that charge your phone multiple times before you need to recharge the battery. Plus this one has multiple USB ports which are great if you need to charge multiple things!

Sony ZV-1

THIS IS NOT A DRILL: if you are thinking about getting into videography, starting a YouTube channel or just looking to upgrade your camera, you NEED the Sony ZV1. Sony designed it specifically with vloggers in mind and I LOVE how reliable this camera is. It also has this CRAZY fast autofocus and a product focus feature that makes showcasing products crystal clear! I use it with this Sony microphone which gives me the most buttery audio & this mini tripod stand.

Bandolier Phone Case

Bandolier cases have changed the way I travel and honestly made my life so much easier. I know it seems weird to carry your phone cross body like a purse but it’s INCREDIBLY convenient, especially when traveling. Whether you’re juggling a bunch of bags at the airport or trying to balance taking photos on your camera & iphone, having your phone handy around your shoulders is such a game changer.

These cases come in tons of styles, colors and even have handy little purse, pouch and airpod case attachments so that you essentially never have to use a purse again if you don’t want to lol.

Voltage Converter & International Travel Adapter/Power Strip

Listen…those little adaptor cube things are BS. You can plug 1 maybe two things in there and they’re clunky and most of the time fall out of the outlet. THIS bad boy is all you will ever need for your international converter/adaptor needs. I use this to charge my computer, phone, camera & most importantly plug my curler into it with no worries of frying it. It comes with adaptors that work for various countries & I swear it’s the best $40 you will ever spend.

TRAVEL BEAUTY ESSENTIALS

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen

I’m trying REALLY hard to wear sunscreen daily, especially when I travel. Supergoop! makes it super easy because this sunscreen is so light & fluffy it honestly feels like you have nothing on your face when you swipe it on. It’s a GREAT clean beauty product that actually WORKS. Say goodbye to gloopy sunscreen that never seems to sink in. I snag this at my local Sephora and they have TONS of amazing products, even sunscreen for your part!

IGK Mini Beach ClubVolume Texture Spray

If you’re looking to cut down on your travel hair products this will be your new BFF. It’s a salt-free, texture spray that gives your hair hella volume and a solid hold if you’re looking to achieve that “Oh, I just left the beach” look.

Caudalie Beauty Elixer

It’s inevitable that you’re gonna feel icky after long travel days, so I like to stash a few products in my carry-on that will give me a quick and easy refresh. This refreshing mist is perfect to spray on your face mid-flight or during a long drive. It tightens pores and instantly refreshes tired skin. It also works as a makeup setting spray. So I use it before long day tours or before I go out for the night.

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Wipes

I KNOW I KNOW…Every beauty guru, dermatologist and the girl who does your facials will tell you these are the devil. But I love them & they’re SUPER handy if you want to take your makeup off mid-flight.

Minimergency Kit

This is the SMARTEST product I’ve ever seen & it’s saved my butt countless times while on the go. Each of these mini pouches is STUFFED full of all the things we ALWAYS forget. Tampons, nail file, an earring back in case you lose one, breath spray, fashion tape etc. These are perfect for travel and I can’t tell you how many times I say THANK YOU BABY JESUS I remembered to bring my Minimergency Kit.

Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream

This is the holy grail of moisturizers. It’s a concentrated 30 percent hyaluronic acid cream that transforms atmospheric vapor into fresh, pure water, WOW SCIENCE. And it feels super light and goes perfectly under makeup. I slather this stuff all over my face on long haul flights and at night before bed.

Poo-Pourri travel kit

Let’s be honest…there’s nothing worse than feeling like you gotta do your business but being scared to because you’re traveling with a significant other, a co-worker, new friend etc. Poo-Pouri gets rid of that worry! I never travel without these - and Linda is grateful for that… Spray before you go and no one will ever know!

Acidil

GUYS, this is not a drill. If there were such a thing as a magic pill, Acidil would be it. It’s saved me time and time again from upset stomachs abroad and at home.

Basically, Acidil relieves heartburn, acid indigestion, bloating or upset stomach. It’s honestly a miracle. My mom and I discovered this product when I was in middle school because I used to get stomach aches ALL THE TIME. So this is something I’ve been using for almost 14 years.

We never travel without it. You can thank me later.

Nux Vomica

The name kinda sounds scary right? I know. But I promise it’s not. In fact, this is my go-to remedy for two things: hangovers and overindulgence.

We’ve all been there one way or another. We ate too much Naan bread and want to vom or we took too many tequila shots in Cabo and vom the next morning. So no matter which camp you fall under, Nux Vomica will be your new BFF.

The main use of this homeopathic pill is to fight heartburn or drowsiness due to excessive eating or drinking.

I try to take this when I know I’m about to have a big meal or (if I remember) before I go to bed after a night of drinking.

Collapsible Water Bottle

I’m really trying to limit my single-use plastics, which can sometimes be difficult on the road depending on the drinking water situation. The actual water bottle I use is out of stock but this one comes in cute colors and collapses down to a decent size. Plus I like that it comes with a clip!

A hat, or a few ;)

I never take a trip without a hat. NEVER. I feel it’s the perfect accessory to spice up an outfit + it makes getting ready much quicker because I mostly just brush my hair plop on the hat and GOOO. Lack of Color has my favorite rancher hat but I also love their straw hats as well. And if you’re traveling with multiple hats and not sure how to pack them, TOPTOTE will be your new best friend.

A cashmere blanket scarf

I never go on any trip without one of these blanket scarfs. They are the softest, coziest thing to wrap around your shoulders on a plane, train or in the car. I also wear mine A LOT more at home at the moment…when I’m working in my office or just watching TV.

The last time I was in India I brought a BUNCH of these to give as gifts and have a few left over that I would LOVE to sell!

They come in a bunch of neutral colors and patterns and are 100% cashmere.

White Tennis Shoes

If you were to invest in one quality travel clothing item, make it be a good pair of walking shoes. If you’re anything like me, you LOVE to wander when you’re in a new destination. Which means you’re not going to want to be complaining 2 hours in that your feet hurt. I LOVE these Tori Burch sneakers and while the price is just a bit steep, it’s worth it. TRUST.
