My holiday weekend bucket list

If you’re like me you plan to do absolutely ZERO adulting until January 2nd.

Yeah I said 2nd because let’s be honest, that’s really when the new year starts.  So to help you get through this confusing time of feeling like you should be doing something but not actually wanting to do anything, I’ve compiled a list.

Here’s all the things you could/should do from now until 1/2:

  • Spend one whole day on the couch/bed/pillow fort (I vote fort) binging your favorite show. Ideas: GOT, Gilmore Girls, Outlander, True Blood, Friends, Sex and the City.

  • Watch ALL the Harry Potter movies

  • Swoon over Jude Law in The Holiday

  • Buy all the ingredients to make homemade Christmas cookies and quit halfway through

  • Offer to clean your parents house...JK JK JK

  • Mail a letter to Santa. But actually write it to yourself and open it next Christmas. It can be a festive form of a time capsule

  • Go ice skating and then midway through question why you wanted to go ice skating

  • Donate to a local shelter or charity

  • Make a holiday playlist and play it as often as you can. Because come Jan 1st that sh*t is DONE.

  • MAKE HOMEMADE S’MORES!!!!!!!

  • Remember that fort I mentioned earlier? Have a sleepover with your friends or family in it.

  • Go look at Christmas lights while blasting gangster rap, I mean Christmas music

  • Write down your New Year’s resolutions

  • Download the 1 second everyday app and take a look back at some of your most memorable moments of the past year!

  • Light a lot of scented candles... that’s it

  • Make a Christmas craft...Omg idk why I said to do that. Forget that.

  • Buy ridiculous PJs to wear Christmas morning

  • Drink lots of hot chocolate

  • Have a fondue party!

  • Make that thing off of Pinterest you’ve never found the time to make

  • Go shopping with all the gift cards you inevitably got over the last month

  • Figure out which resolutions you’re actually going to stick to this year…

  • Read that book that’s been collecting dust on your shelf

  • SPEND TIME WITH ALL THE PEOPLE YOU LOVE

Okay, I know this list was 25% serious 75% joking (kinda) but the most important thing you need to do from now until NYE is spend as much time as you can with the people you love. That can be your family, your friends, your pets, the co-workers you actually like, whoever. Just use this downtime to show them you love them and appreciate them. Because truly, (I’m gonna get cheesy here) they’re the greatest gift of all.

I want to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I’m signing off until after Christmas. Talk soon!

xx
