For those of you who have been part of my #galsabroad community for a while now, you’ll know how deeply and passionately I feel about India. The people, the colors, the history, the palaces, the spices, the culture I love ALL of it…
When I learned about the dire COVID-19 situation the country is currently facing as the second wave of the virus rips through this massive country, I was devastated. Right now, India’s COVID crisis is the worst since the pandemic began.
1 person dies every 5 minutes in India from Covid 19.
Hospitals are full, oxygen supplies are dwindling, and sick people are dying as they wait to see doctors. The official estimates of infection are more than 300,000 a day which experts believe is being underreported and might reach 500,000 by August.
I am humbly asking, if you have the means, if you would consider donating to one of these vetted, charitable organizations that are actively working to mobilize, set up hotlines, get oxygen and critical care to India RIGHT NOW.
My friend Neha of Somewhere In Between Coaching recently lost a loved one to COVID in India. Her family’s charity Chance Foundation is currently working to set up a hotline to help those in need in India and send oxygen concentrators. You can click here to learn more and to donate.

FAV PURCHASE - Okay so this week’s fav purchase is totally random and has nothing to do with travel but hear me out lol. I recently snagged a giant whiteboard stand for my office and I’m LOVING it. IDK about you but there is something about staring at your biggest goals and tasks every day that really motivates me to get my butt in gear and check things off the list lol. Trust me it works. So if you’re planning total world domination, I’d suggest starting with this whiteboard hahaha.
FAV LISTEN - I binged a 5-part podcast series this week called The Improvement Association. It’s by the makers of the Serial podcast & the NYTimes so you know it’s good. It’s a podcast that goes in-depth on a true story of election fraud (I’ve become kind of a politics junkie after the 2020 election…)
FAV WATCH - As I gear up to shoot the pilot of my own Mother-Daughter travel show (yeah…it’s happening…) I wanted to share YET AGAIN the inspiration behind our show - Travels with my Father. It’s on Netflix and it’s HILARIOUS and you really really really need to watch it for a good laugh and a bit of wanderlust.
