HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY TO ALL MY TRAVEL LOVING MUMS OUT THERE
Words cannot begin to describe how lucky I feel to call the legendary Linda my mom. I’ve put together a little reel highlighting some of her truly epic moments from the past few years and I can’t help but have a big ole grin on my face as I watch it 175 times (it’s basically videos of us drinking around the world hahaha).
But in all seriousness, I feel insanely lucky to have this fierce, adventurous, open minded, free spirit of a woman as my ride or die travel partner in crime & I hope you get to meet her one day (hopefully on a Gals Abroad group trip ;)
I also want to acknowledge that today also might be a difficult day for those who have strained relationships with their moms, are unable to become a mom, have lost their mother or just feel a bit meh about the holiday. I see you, and I want to be respectful of the fact that today may not be a day you look forward to. I’m sending you a big hug your way.

This Wednesday 5/12 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. CST I am hosting one of my live closet sales with At One Boutique & a portion of the proceeds will be going to my dear friend Neha’s family non-profit Chance Foundation.
They have donated much-needed oxygen concentrators, set up a helpline, and even have plans to create a temporary hospital to meet the high demand for beds. A board member from Chance will be joining the live to tell us more about their efforts and how you can help.
Everyone who shops on Wednesday will be doing their part to help India & we will also have a button on the live sale for you to donate if you don’t wish to shop. Linda and I will be personally matching the total donations that are raised from everyone who shops the sale.

FAV PURCHASE - these are the shoes I will NEVER travel without. I just ordered a fresh pair of plain white sneakers because my old travel pair was getting a bit ratty. I’ve been wearing these guys around the house to break them in and can already tell that they will be the first thing I put into my suitcase for every trip from here on out.
FAV LISTEN - The Women Who Travel podcast by Conde Nast Traveler always comes through right when you need them. This episode is ALL about answering listeners questions about the realities of traveling this summer and into 2021.
FAV READ - This week I shared a reel where I poked fun at my “unique” living situation but at the same time shared how I’m not sure if I want to get married or have kids. I was BLOWN away by the number of people who began connecting in the comments section. The purpose of me sharing something that many women might be scared to admit was simply to say that we should work on claiming our goals & dreams, even if they look different from what society says they should be. This is a long build up to my point but I wanted to share a new book my friend Jess recommended to me. It’s called ‘The Middle Finger Project’ and I think this would be a fantastic read for anyone who is struggling with imposter syndrome, thinking about leaving their “safe” job or really just wanting to chart their own path in life.
