What I packed: England

WHO WANTS TO MOVE TO LONDON WITH ME?!

If you’re jumping up and down screaming me me me me right now, you’re my people.

And if you’re truly planning to move to London at some point like I am, or you’re just hopping across the pond for a quick trip, you’re going to need to know what to pack.

One thing to remember when visiting England is that the climate, while mild, never gets too warm and is VERY damp. Even in the summer months. So a light jacket is a must pretty much any time of year. I visited in November where temps held pretty steady at 40-50 degrees and layering was my best friend.

HERE’S A FEW ITEMS YOU SHOULD ALWAYS PACK ON ANY TRIP TO ENGLAND

  • A travel umbrella (this is the one I use)

  • A trendy trench coat (I love my pink Ralph Lauren trench - but here’s an affordable style that comes in a few colors!)

  • A good pair of boots or sneakers you don’t mind getting a little muddy (Ideally a pair of short wellies would be ideal if you’re visiting the countryside. The boots were invented by the Duke of Wellington so…makes sense)

  • A versatile jacket that’s easy to layer (for me that’s a leather jacket in the cooler months or a jean jacket in the summer)

Here’s a look at some of my favorite pieces I rented and bought for this trip! You can find all the details for each outfit beneath each photo. Or if you like to look at things all in one place there’s a little boutique of all my pieces at the bottom of the post.

xx, Alle

SHERRI HILL DRESS BORROWED FROM PEACHES BOUTIQUE

If you’re from the Chicagoland area there’s a very good possibility you bought your prom dress from Peaches Boutique. I like to refer to Peaches as the MECCA for prom and homecoming dresses, pageant gowns and all things Quinceanera.

But my love for these show stopping dresses didn’t stop when I graduated High School. Peaches Boutique was my go to when searching for my dress for the annual Palm Springs International Film Festival. I still can’t decide which dress was my favorite between this one and this one. (YOU DECIDE!).

So when I wanted to make my fairytale English princess photoshoot dreams come true (lol) I knew I had to reach out to Peaches for the perfect dress. This Sherri Hill number was a HIT! And guess what…IT HAS POCKETS!!!
